Traverse of the Gods
Inspired by reading The White Spider by Heinrich Harrer.
Its descriptions of the Eiger, together with quotations from Hermann Buhl and Guido Tonella, became the literary starting point for this composition.
Weather changes.
Visibility disappears.
Footing becomes uncertain.
The rope reminds each climber that they do not face the mountain alone.
